What are the grade levels, school colors, and mascot?
Grade levels: PreK-8th grade School Colors: Hunter Green and Khaki Mascot: Titan
What are the office, school, and early release hours?
Office hours are: 7:30am - 4:00pm
School hours are: 8:15am - 3:00pm K & 1st grade are released at 2:50pm
Early release hours K-1st: 8:15am - 11:25am
Early release hours 2nd-8th: 8:15am - 11:35am
How do I let you know my child will be late or absent? Please contact the attendance line, listed above, to report a late or absent student. The line can be accessed 24/7, however, if you do not call prior to 8:45am, you will receive an automated call regarding your child’s unreported absence. Please say your child’s name, your name and relationship, the teacher’s name, the reason and date(s) of absences.
Would you like reminder emails for events, early release, or special programs happening at Terramar? Please ensure your email address is up to date with the front office staff. A valid ID is required to update your information. Reminders are also posted on the marquee sign in front of the school and our school website is updated as well.
How do I get homework for my child when they are going to be absent? Please contact the teacher(s) directly via email for any homework requests and pick up information.
How much is lunch and how do I pay for it? Please see our Cafe News Webpage for meal prices. Breakfast is available from 8:00am-8:10am. The cafeteria accepts cash or checks payable to Terramar School. Please list the student’s name and ID on the check. You can also pay with a debit/credit card by accessing the EZSchoolPay.com link from the Terramar webpage or directly at http://www.ezschoolpay.com/
How do I find out about my child’s grades? Please visit the Power School website via the link from our school’s home page or directly at http://ps.dvusd.org/public/home.html . You will need a user name and password for your initial set up which can be obtained from the front office, a valid ID is required to get this information.
Do you offer a before and/or after school program? We offer an AM/PM program in our Multi-Purpose Room. Information is available through our Community Education Department, 623-445-5018 or from the program director: Teresa Lipson 623-262-1504
What sports do you offer and can my child play them? Sports are offered to middle school students (Grades 7 & 8) only. A completed sports physical must be on file prior to tryouts or the actual sport. Forms can be printed off the school website. Sports offerings are: Fall – Boys & Girls Volleyball; Winter – Boys & Girls Basketball and Spirit Line; Spring – Boys Baseball, Girls Softball
How can I volunteer? You must complete the required district volunteer training which are offered throughout the year. You may also advise your student’s teacher of your interest in volunteering. You can obtain volunteer information at the district website.
What do I do if there will be a change in my child’s transportation? You must email the teacher before 8am. All of the teachers' email addresses are listed on the Terramar website.
