All games are parent/guardian transportation to and from games including Mountain Ridge.  

Drop off time for Mountain Ridge games is 3:45, students must be dropped off and can not walk to the games.

Tryouts to begin the week of February 23rd

Boys: Tryouts before school on February 23rd and 24th before school.  Possible final tryouts on February 27th after school.  Doors open at 6:50am and tryouts begin at 7:00am.  

Please note: tryouts are closed to parents to allow our coach and athletes the ability to concentrate.  You will drop student off outside of the multipurpose room.

Boys will practice before school, practice schedule will be communicated after tryouts.  Practice will be before school at 7:00am.

Girls: Tryouts will be after school on February 25th and 26th.  Tryouts will start right after school and end at 5:00pm

Away games parents transport to and from games. Athletes should arrive by 4 pm.

Home games, athletes remain at school to set up the MPR and warm up. 

The first game is to start by 4:30 pm.

Games are two 20 minute halves with a running clock.

Applicable to all players: No jewelry may be worn during competitions/games.  The includes, earrings, nose rings, bracelets, and necklaces.

The Mountain Ridge Feeder Track team is comprised of students attending Terramar, Sierra Verde, and West Wing.

It is open to students in grades 5-8.

Practices are held Monday through Friday from 4:30pm -6:00pm at Mountain Ridge High School.

As with other DVUSD sports, there is a $120 activity fee.

Try-out Information

Clinic will be February 17th and 18th after school from 3:30pm to 5:00pm

Tryouts will be on February 19th from 3:30 to 5:00pm

Please wear only black, white or green clothes, shorts and shirt required.

Please have hair pulled all the way back.

Students will be scored on a rubric by a panel of judges using the rubric provided.

Students will try-out in groups of 3 and are required to stay until the end of try-outs on February 19th unless otherwise discussed.

Please note: Tryouts are closed to parents to allow our coach and students athletes the ability to focus and concentrate.  Parents can pick up outside when tryouts are over.

There will be a parent meeting on Monday February 23rd at 4:00pm

Practices

• Practices are Tuesday - Friday from 6:45am - 8:00am with the exception of the added Mondays in April.
• At the parent meeting a calendar with practices and games will be handed out.

Competitions

• there will be 2 competitions this year.
• You must be present for BOTH competitions.
• Parents are responsible for driving you to and from competitions.
• More information on competitions will come after the season starts.

Games

• AWAY GAMES - A parent is responsible for providing transportation for their athletes, to and from games, arriving by no later then 4:00pm.
• HOME GAMES - Athletes must remain on campus for home games.
