Titan Band Receives Superior with Distinction
On Wednesday, April 24th, the Titan Band participated in the District Concert Band Festival. The band received a Superior (the highest rating) from all three judges, which earned them the rating of Superior with Distinction. Five district middle school bands participated in the festival hosted at Terramar. The Titan Band was the only band to receive a Superior. Congratulations to all the Titan Band members! Kindergarten Blended Model The Deer Valley Unified School District is excited to announce it will be offering incoming kindergarten students a new blended kindergarten experience beginning in the 2013-14 school year. They were selected as Deer Valley School District's Teachers of the Year!
Guest Artists at Terramar Academy of the Arts Just a "note" from Mrs. Lowe, our music teacher, to let you know we have had a wonderful array of guest artists. March 2013: Our 5th grade students received a performance by William Joseph, professional pianist and recording artist.
March 2013: Mr. Carter Pendell, a violinist in the Phoenix Symphony, performed and lectured to our third graders who just finished their study of the violin.
March 2013: Rebecca Morris, aMezzo Soprano for The Phoenix Opera, gave two master classes to our advanced choir students.
November, 2012: Our 7th grade students enjoyed a performance from David Baradic, a professional jazz pianist. Terramar Receives an "A" Achievement Profile Terramar School received an “A” Achievement Profile from the Arizona Department of Education.
